My name is Elka Romero. I’m Brazilian and I live in Fortaleza, a city near the Atlantic Ocean. I was born on February 8th, 1969. I’m divorced and I have one and only daughter, Rebecca, who was born on May 24th, 1996. She is a pacemaker user and an amazing girl.
Since I was a child, I like to draw and do many kind of art. But I met digital scrapbook only in 2006 and I started working professionally in 2007.
I use to create digital material with Photoshop CS3, Paint Shop Pro 9, Illustrator CS3 and ArtRage. I’ve got a Wacom of medium size and I also like to work with colored pencils, watercolor pencils and my Copic markers.
I really like versatility, but I consider myself an eclectic designer (tending to shabby/grunge/whimsical/colourful/shiny/childlike/feminine) who loves hand drawn art. For now I have little time to complete my kits with only my hand drawn designs which makes me purchase commercial use products more frequently than I’d like to, but I intend to dedicate more of my time for drawing. I’m expanding my business with digital stamps for crafters with Angel Policy Use without additional fee for small home business. So I’m getting money helping someone else to get money. It’s a win-win.
I find inspiration in anything… jewels, cloths, objects exposed on shop-windows, pictures, nature, colors of the world etc… and even in my own soul in the unconscious memories of past moments.
