I’m Laura Burger and I am a true memory keeper. I am very blessed to work from my home in a small town in Northern Arizona. I live with my hubby, 1 indoor cat, 3 wild outdoor cats and 2 dogs. We have a home business so on any given day we can find me at one computer or the other. I am happiest when I sit at the design computer and talk to other scrap bookers and think about the next design project that is swirling in my head. I am thrilled to be part of the team of talented designers here.
I have been a memory keeper for almost 15 years now. I started with paper and then decided to give digital a try in 2005. I was hooked after my first layout. I never intended to design but being the creative person I am, I really wanted to learn Photoshop. I started dabbling in design work. One day I saw a call for a designer at a site I really loved. I decided to submit with the hopes I could get some critiquing, instead I was offered a position. I have designed and learned my craft from that day forward. I still have much to learn as designing is a never ending process for me. I mainly use PSCS5 for my designing and I love my Cintique tablet. I still dabble in hybrid scrapping projects from time to time.
It amazes me how many layouts I have done in the last 15 years and the memories I have kept for future generations and shared with my family. Each layout is as special as the one done before the current layout. My family enjoys seeing how we have all evolved through the years. And I do not see this stopping anytime soon, as we will have a new addition to our family come June 2011, our first grandchild.
