Designer - Northern Whimsy Design
I have always loved colors – the brighter, the better – and my Mom’s quilting hobby (obsession) also exposed me to the beauty of patterns. I was first introduced to scrapbooking by a friend in 2002, but didn’t have the space for tools and supplies, and did not keep up with it. However, I was re-introduced to scrapbooking in 2013, by another friend who was entirely digital, and that really got my attention. I love photography, pretty things, and computers, so this was a perfect match!
My first foray into pattern design was actually to create fabric patterns for my daughter, as I couldn’t find any nursery decorations that I liked. However, this soon merged with my other hobbies, and I began designing digital papers for crafting and scrapbooking.
I am inspired by my surroundings – I live in a rural location, surrounded by birds, trees, flowers, and wildlife, not to mention the fields of grain and livestock! My son and daughter also provide plenty of inspiration. Designing is my creative outlet, and one of my favorite passtimes.
